Alex Daly
Principal Osteopath and Owner

Alex completed her 4 year BSc in Osteopathic Medicine in 2004 and has been in full-time practice in Cork since. She holds a Diploma in Naturopathy and is a member of the Osteopathic Council of Ireland.

After graduating most of her focus was on developing skills as a cranial Osteopath, and she spent several years attending paediatric postgraduate courses in the UK and US.

Between 2009 and 2015 she undertook extensive training in the field of specific nerve manipulation and treatment of the organs. This means she can diagnose and understand stubborn and complex pain syndromes that don’t respond well to other forms of manual therapy.

Alex is a member of the British Medical Acupuncture society and uses Western needling techniques and electro-acupuncture as an adjunct to her Osteopathic treatments.

In July 2017 after completing 2 years of further part-time study in London Alex was awarded a Post Graduate Diploma in Women’s Health in Osteopathy. She is the only Osteopath in Ireland to hold this qualification. In addition, Alex is currently studying to become a Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist. Alex is a fully qualified Reformer Pilates instructor. Alex is trained in the internal and external treatment of the pelvic floor and now treats women only.

Jennifer Guerin
Senior Associate Osteopath

Jennifer completed her 4-year full-time degree in 2005 and received her BSc Ost Med from the Surrey Institute of Osteopathic Medicine.

She is a mum of 3 beautiful young girls and has a fantastic way with our youngest and oldest of patients.

During her 19 years of clinical practice, she has gained a wealth of experience treating a wide range of conditions. Jennifer primarily works with babies, children, expecting and post partum mothers, visceral or abdominal issues, headaches, jaw pain and dealing with chronic pain.

Jennifer worked as a clinical tutor in a Physical Therapy College between 2006 and 2018.

As an Osteopath she has continued to develop her own skills attending numerous courses on the pelvis, headaches, and nerve pain, advanced biomechanics, visceral osteopathy (treatment of the organs), and the effects of pregnancy and birth on both mother and baby. Jennifer's approach to a treatment is multi-disciplinary and she uses a variety of techniques.

Since graduating Jennifer has also qualified in dry needling and has received certified training in the application of Cold Laser Therapy.

Jennifer is a member of the Osteopathic Council of Ireland.

David Connolly
Osteopath

David completed his degree in Osteopathy with first-class honours from the Irish College of Osteopathic Medicine & London South Bank University. He is a Registered Osteopath with the Osteopathic Council of Ireland.

As a keen sportsman, David was attracted to the discipline of Osteopathy.  Having played both GAA and soccer much of his life, he picked up various injuries including sprained ankles, pulled muscles and damaged ligaments. David rehabbed his own knee cartilage and hip injury over two years and avoided surgery through consistent rehab exercises. Learning to heal from his own injuries has powerfully informed his Osteopathic work.

Ever curious, David decided to add another string to his bow and study the ITM Alexander Technique. He is currently in his 3rd year of studies. This technique enables the practitioner to train others to move with greater ease and less tension to fundamentally disrupt the injury process at source. While not yet a fully qualified Alexander Technique Teacher the years of training have influenced his outlook. David also uses a wide range of Osteopathic treatment techniques, soft tissue modalities and dry needing in his work.

Karen specialises in therapeutic massage incorporating deep tissue and sports techniques, trigger point work and laser therapy. She will carefully create a treatment plan specific for your needs.
